Cycas revoluta also known as sago palm, is a widely cultivated cycad which is often grown outdoors in warm temperate and subtropical regions. Sago palm is highly poisonous to animals and humans if ingested.
Toxic components
All parts of the plant contain cycasin, with the highest concentration in the seeds.
